7810 words since Tuesday, which is somewhat below my goal of 2K per day. But still, not bad.

This week’s gonna be killer, though, because I’ll be breaking in my first pair of bi-focals.

Yes. It’s true. I am an aged hag. Gloom, despair and agony on me.

  2. You must tell me about the bi-focals : I think I need a pair.

At the moment I only need glasses to read (my long sight is fine) but it’s very frustrating having to take them off and put them on every 5 minutes.

And then a walking stick too ?

  3. Thanks, Arin. I feel so much better now. :p

Merlin – the bifocals are taking some getting used to, but I think they will work out fine. I already walk with a cane on really bad days (back surgery gone amiss) so that doesn’t even scare me as much as it should.

Adult diapers. Now THERE’s a bad dream I hope never comes true…

  4. Adult diapers ? I don’t plan on hanging around long enough thanks.

I think a walking stick might look quite dapper though (particularly one with a built-in sword).

  5. Yes, I can see where the sword might come in handy when you’re fighting off amorous women, Merlin. I know this has been a problem for you.

  6. Hmmm…..but the big problem with the sword idea is there’s not enough space to use one effectively in aeroplane toilets (which is where the problems most commonly arise as you know!).
